Information used by OrdaMate

When you sign in, OrdaMate receives your account identifier, email and available display name from the sign-in provider. We store your profile, contact phone, favourites, bag, order history and support requests. Restaurant accounts also supply listing details, menu content and photos.

Restaurant team sign-in

For dedicated restaurant logins, we store the assigned email, name, access role and a salted password hash. We do not retain readable passwords. Secure session cookies keep you signed in for up to 12 hours. Owners can manage store staff; administrators can manage owner access and transfer a restaurant. Access changes are recorded. Password resets, email changes and disabling a login end its existing sessions.

Why we use it

We use this information to keep your account, process orders, help restaurants prepare and hand over food, provide order updates, resolve support requests and protect the service. Contact details are required to place an order. Browsing does not require an account.

Who receives it

The restaurant fulfilling an order can see the order’s name, phone number, items, requests and pickup details. OrdaMate administrators can access records to operate the marketplace and provide support. Hosting providers process stored records and photos. When payments are enabled, Stripe handles payment information; OrdaMate does not collect card numbers. If email notifications are enabled, the email provider processes the recipient address and notification content.

Storage and access

Order and support records remain in the service for operational and accounting purposes. Access is limited by account and restaurant permissions. Providers may process information outside New Zealand. Avoid including sensitive information in order notes, public menu content or uploaded photos.

Your choices

You can update your name and phone in My details and change your favourites or bag. To request access to your information, a correction or deletion, contact support. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve an existing order.

Browser storage

The service and sign-in provider use browser storage or cookies needed for sign-in and operation. Your saved orders, favourites and bag are stored with your account.
